THESE HALTERS ARE IDENTICAL IN MATERIAL AND SIZE TO THOSE USED AND SOLD BY CLINTON ANDERSON. The single halters in photos are yearling size, so the knots may appear larger than they will on an average or large size. Halters on the horse are average size
The average size fits the 900 to 1100 pound weight range.  The Quarter Horse wearing this "average" halter is approx. 1100 pounds, and stands 15 hands. Horses with weight over 1100 pounds might be better off going to the LARGE size halter. This is for a halter only!
This halter can be slightly adjusted to fit individual horses by sliding the fiador knot up or down.  Allow 60 seconds for adjustment.  This halter is made with a stiff 1/4" Samson double braided polyester yachting cord.  This halter's design discourages horses from pulling and leaning against it by laying comfortable on the horse when he doesn't pull, and becoming somewhat uncomfortable when he does pull.  Horses soon learn the "right" behavior to find the "comfortable" feel. Ray Hunt always said to make the wanted behavior comfortable for the horse and the unwanted behavior uncomfortable for the horse. These halters help us apply that strategy if the horse decides to pull us around like a fish on a hook.
The halter's 4 nose-band knots successfully communicate cues when lunging, leading, or flexing.  The knots are strategically located on the pressure points of the nose to help get the horse's attention if he should refuse to yield to pressure.   Some horses are terrific pullers, these halters work well for those situations.
