THE NEW SHORT 36 INCH THOMEY HORSE TRAINING STICKTHIS IS A SINGLE 36 INCH PURPLE HANDY STICK WITH 5 FOOT STRING AND POPPER.THE LEATHER PARTS AND HANDLE ON THIS 36 INCH STICK ARE DEEP BROWN. SOME TRAINING STICKS HAVE A SMALL HOLE HOLDING THEIR LASH, MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE AND INSTALL THE LASH. NOTICE THE GENEROUS SPACE FOUND IN THE LEATHER LOOP ON THE THOMEY STICK.                           WE HAVE FOUND THE HEAVY SADDLE LEATHER LOOPS ON THE THOMEY STICKS TO BE FAR MORE DURABLE THAN OTHER LEATHER LOOPS, OR THE RUBBER TIPS FOUND ON SOME STICKS.  5 FOOT LASH AND POPPER COMES WITH EVERY TRAINING STICK. LASH IS BLACK OR THE SAME COLOR AS THE TRAINING STICK (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS). LASH IS MADE FROM 1/4 INCH DOUBLE BRAIDED POLYESTER YACHTING CORD.               Handles are very soft rubber with an exceptional grip. The stick's 11mm to 7.5mm custom taper offers greater balance and ease of  maneuverability without sacrificing firmness. Better balance than any of the straight 10mm rod designs. It's not the weight of the stick that makes it feel heavy, it is the weight on the end of the stick that makes them feel heavy and cumbersome to handle.      THESE STICKS ARE PRIMARILY USED TO CREATE PRESSURE NEEDED TO SENSITIZE AND DESENSITIZE A HORSE IN TRAINING. THEY ARE USED AS AN EXTENSION OF OUR HAND.
