STARWARS legend: Outpost 17 was a remote station established by New Republic, in Unknown Regions, constructed in orbit of planet Durace, to allow scientists to study the world's weather and topographical phenomena from a safe distance. It also served as a supply port for scouts working in the Unknown Regions. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, the outpost was destroyed and a number of legends spread regarding what had happened to the facility's remains. Stories claimed the outpost crashed onto Durace, and that it contained a valuable treasure. Some tales claimed the treasure was a valuable ore, while others said it was the lightsaber of Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker.
